What is the standard line up of Star Treatment?
The full line up is Drums, Bass Guitar, Keyboards, Electric Guitar, Two Vocalists, Trumpet & Sax. We offer various packages beneath this, starting at a 5 piece: Drums, Bass Guitar, Keyboards, Electric Guitar and Vocalist, and various options inbetween.

Why do I need the full eight piece?
While booking Star Treatment will always mean a full dance floor and a night to remember, they really play to their maximum potential when the full 8 piece band is in place. The horn section of Trumpet & Sax really brings that 70s + 80s live, funky soul sound to all of the tracks.

Why do you use two vocalists?
Star Treatment are incredibly fortune to feature two of the best singers in the party band business. While David will lend his seductively warm, silky smooth soul tones to your favourite funk, soul, disco and blues tracks, Allan will take the party by the scruff of the neck with his soaring and powerful vocals on some of the greatest 80s and 90s rock and pop tracks around. It's like having two bands for the price of one!

How far do you travel?
While the band is based in the West Midlands, we travel all over the country to all sorts of parties, weddings and corporate events. Naturally it does cost us a little more to travel further afield so our quotes will reflect a small increase upon that of our more local events.

How long are your performances?
The standard evening performance is normally 2x 45 minute sets, but this can be extended if required up to a maximum of 2x 60 minutes, or 3x 45 minutes. Please note though that this does require the booking of both vocalists.

What happens between your sets?
This is entirely up to you! We do need at least 20 minutes between sets to refresh for the next part of the performance. For a small extra charge we can provide a fully professional DJ for your event who works regularly with the band. This can quite often work out significantly cheaper than hiring a separate DJ, and will also ensure no songs are repeated throughout the evening.

I don’t want a DJ, can you put on some background music between your sets instead?
Yes of course. We can either play our own specially tailored mixes of either background music, party classics or a perhaps a theme of your choice, or we are happy to plug in your ipod to our sound equipment.

Do you bring your own sound and lighting equipment?
Yes, our superb sound and lighting system is included in the price of any quote. This is suitable for a room of up to around 150 people. For larger venues it may be necessary to hire in additional equipment for a small charge.

What other considerations do we need to bare in mind?
The most important consideration is really that of the evening's timings - particularly if you are having a meal in the same room as where the band is to play. We need approximately an hour to load in our equipment, set up, and perform a short sound check - therefore please take this time into account! If you want to finish your meal at 7.30 and have us start the performance at 8.00 for example, then you will need to discuss this with us and allow us time to set up earlier in the day.

How long can I reserve a date for?
Our standard practice is to hold a date upon enquiry for 30 days. To officially book the date, a deposit of 25% is normally payable. We will not, like some bands, cancel on you if we get a more lucrative gig! We will send a contract out so that you can have complete peace of mind when booking Star Treatment. We also have musicians in reserve who are fully rehearsed and ready to step in, in the event of illness.
